HPSTART25.4x4 Ore-Formation Simulation Press
A sealed high-pressure high-temperature platform for rock-fluid experiments, built around reproducibility: 300MPa maximum working pressure, ±0.1℃ temperature control accuracy and ±1MPa steady-state pressure fluctuation over 72 hours of continuous operation.

These figures are measured at the factory and apply to the standard configuration. Non-standard chamber sizes and temperature ranges are available on request.
Chamber materials
The chamber is the part in direct contact with the sample, so its material determines compatibility with your experimental system. We supply three standard options and can advise on custom alloys.
| Item | Specification | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| TC4 titanium alloy | TC4 | Low density, good strength, inert to most aqueous fluids at experimental temperature |
| 316L stainless steel | 316L | Cost-effective for aqueous systems, suitable for moderate temperature ranges |
| Alumina ceramic | Al₂O₃ | Chemically inert, suited to strongly acidic or corrosive fluids |
Applicable experiments
Rock ore-formation simulation: reproduce mineral migration, transport and enrichment processes in rocks under high pressure and temperature conditions.
High-pressure water-rock reaction: study element migration, alteration and dissolution-precipitation kinetics in rock-fluid systems.
Hydrogen production via water-rock reaction: run sealed rock-fluid hydrogen generation experiments for energy exploration and deep-earth research.
Supplied as standard for these three experiment types; other programmes are evaluated case by case against the same 300MPa / ±0.1℃ platform.
Control system
The integrated system acquires and adjusts pressure and temperature in real time under closed-loop control.
Custom multi-segment programme curves cover pressurisation, pressure hold, temperature soak and depressurisation in one automatic sequence.
During long steady-state runs, pressure fluctuation is held within ±1MPa, so replicate datasets remain comparable.
Programme curves and run logs can be exported for inclusion in a thesis or paper.
Selection notes
What is the maximum working pressure of the HPSTART25.4x4?
300MPa, measured at the factory under the standard configuration. Rated figures quoted elsewhere in the industry are frequently nominal; the value here is the as-tested one.
Can the HPSTART25.4x4 support hydrogen production simulation via water-rock reaction?
Yes. The sealed 300MPa / ±0.1℃ platform is used for sealed rock-fluid hydrogen generation experiments. Chamber material should be selected according to the fluid chemistry involved.
Does temperature and pressure drift during long experiments?
Over a verified 72-hour pressure-hold and soak run, temperature and pressure drift remains negligible and steady-state pressure fluctuation stays within ±1MPa.
What materials are available for the sample chamber?
TC4 titanium alloy, 316L stainless steel and alumina ceramic as standard. Custom alloys can be evaluated against your experimental system.
Who is the HPSTART25.4x4 intended for?
Geological research institutes and university geochemistry laboratories running rock-fluid interaction, ore-formation and water-rock reaction research.
